Just another weblog

Foreign Policy and Technology, the new world of global politics

Hello all,

I am following a blog featured on the Foreign Policy magazine’s website. It was a little confusing at first to figure out exactly how the website works, but after lost adventures and words not suitable for class I now understand how my blog, Net Effects, fits into the website’s design.

The web page features many theme blogs by reporters and editors from Foreign Policy magazine and experts in various fields of Foreign affairs. I am following Evgeny Morozov’s blog on the mixture of global politics and technology. The blog has interesting links to other websites on everything from”An (Internet) day without Google” on and “10 ways to change the world through Social Media“.

Morozov’s recent blog is regarding whether Facebook should censor or ban all groups the deny the Holocaust occurred. It is an interesting read, bringing up questions of limitations of free speech and online groups creating deliberate hate for others. The blog ends challenging bloggers to bring social responsibility into their online writing.

Overall should be an interesting blog to follow and will keep everyone updated on the ins and outs of technology in the international world.
